SummerReads
Help your community discover SummerReads - a selection of books perfect for lazy days, long afternoons, and holiday relaxation. Use this campaign to inspire summer reading and encourage your community to enjoy great books throughout the season.
About SummerReads
The indyreads SummerReads campaign will run from 1 December 2025-31 January 2026.
indyreads focuses on independently published content and aims to promote new and emerging authors. The indyreads collection is also intended to complement existing public library collections and ensure you can offer your users a diverse collection of quality Australian and international titles.
To support these aims, there are three titles from independent Australian publishers for your readers to choose from during SummerReads.
The titles are:
- Hailstones fell without rain by Natalia Figueroa (University of Queensland Press)
- Hollow air by Verity Borthwick (Ultimo Press)
- Hot ground by Lisa Ellery (Fremantle Press)
Promote these titles to your library members – someone looking for something new to try, your library book clubs, those looking for their next summer read, or anyone completing summer reading challenges at your library.
The titles will be available with unlimited simultaneous use licenses during December and January.
