eResources Trials

Throughout the year NSW.net in conjunction with the [Content Working Group] undertake numerous state-wide trials of new eResource products: online databases (aggregated collections of electronic journals/ newspapers), eBooks/eAudio platforms and online music and video platforms.

The trials provide public libraries the opportunity to assess the suitability of a new product for their communities’ information and recreational requirements. NSW.net encourages all participating libraries to complete the [online product evaluation form]. A product’s inclusion into the Consortia Opt-in Offers list is dependent upon a minimum of three positive evaluations.

Public libraries are encouraged to nominate new products for possible trial.
